Complaints

If you have a complaint. What to do?
As a VBAG registered therapist I do my very best to offer you the best possible care and service. However, it is possible that you may not be happy about some aspect of the service I have provided to you. In that case please inform me of the situation and hopefully we can sort out the problem in a satisfactory manner. If you feel uncomfortable with complaining directly to me, perhaps by doing it in writing may make it easier for you.

Another possibility
If we are unable to agree or you feel uncomfortable communicating your complaint directly to me, then you can receive help from an independent mediator free of charge. They can help you formulate your complaint and also mediate for you if needed.

Every healthcare giver in The Netherlands is legally obliged under The Healthcare Act (Wkkgz) to provide all their clients access to an independent mediator (klachtenfunctionaris). Quasir is the expertise centre for managing complaints in the healthcare and wellness sector and provide the mediators via the therapist's professional association VBAG.

You can contact an independent mediator via bemiddeling@quasir.nl t.a.v. coördinator klachtenbemiddeling or via telephone number 06 4844 5538.

Dispute commission: binding verdict

Should the efforts of the independent mediator be to no avail or the end result is not to your satisfaction, then you still have another avenue via the dispute commission.
The dispute commission is completely independent from all parties and is specialised in integrative healthcare. A verdict from the dispute commission over is final and binding, both for yourself and the therapist.

There is a submission cost of € 50 when submitting your dispute to the dispute commission. A verdict is given within a period of 6 months. On the website from the dispute commission you'll find more information about how to submit your dispute. The independent mediator can assist you with this.

Disciplinary Law Complementary Healthcare (TCZ)

If there is complaint requiring discplinary action, then your independent mediator can advise you to place it with the Disciplinary Law Complementary Healthcare (TCZ).
Of course, you can also always contact the secretary of VBAG via e-mail secretariaat@vbag.nl or via the  telephone 040 283 8988 (09.00 – 12.00 week days).
